# Inspections

Find scaffold inspection records, understand the company checklist and check the permissions needed to create or approve them.

CloudScaff records scaffold inspections using your company’s Inspection Certificate Template. The template supplies the categories and questions; the completed record belongs to the selected scaffold.

## Before recording an inspection

* Open Sites, select the site, then open the required scaffold.
* Check the scaffold code, description and location in Overview.
* Confirm that the company inspection template contains the required questions. Template changes are managed in Settings → Templates → Inspection Template.

## Complete the company checklist

Use the Inspection action available for the scaffold and record the actual findings against the configured questions. The template guide describes Yes/Pass and No/Fail responses. Follow the inspection procedure agreed for the site when recording exceptions; do not assume that an unanswered question represents a completed check.

## Permissions and records

Scaffolds → Inspections has separate Create, View and Approve permissions. If the action is unavailable, ask your administrator to check your role and site access. Inspection certificates can be reviewed through the scaffold records and Scaffold Log.
