# Site Instructions

Record instructions against a scaffold and trace the related site, author and completion status.

Scaffold instructions keep a written request or note connected to the scaffold it concerns. Use the scaffold reference and site details to distinguish it from a general instruction for the whole site.

## Find the right scaffold

1. Open Sites and select the relevant site.
2. Open Scaffolds and select the scaffold.
3. Review its Overview: site name, scaffold code, description and location.
4. Open the instructions area available for that scaffold.

## Prepare a clear instruction

Include the work requested, the scaffold reference and any supporting notes needed by the recipient. Review the instruction status when following up; creating a record is not the same as completing the requested work.

## Access and follow-up

The Scaffolds → Scaffold Instructions permissions distinguish Create, View, Update and Void access. Ask your administrator to review the relevant permission if an action is missing. The Instructions Log provides a company-wide view of issued instructions, including site, creator, date and status.
