Creating a New Customer

Empty Create Customer Form

When you click the ➕ button, the system opens a clean Create Customer form.

Fields available:

Customer Name (required)

The official company name.

Important Note: When creating a new customer, the Customer Name field is the only required field needed to successfully add a customer to the system.

All other fields — such as email address, representative, contact number, registration number, VAT number, and address details — are optional and can be added or updated later at any time.

This flexibility allows you to quickly create customer records, even if you don’t yet have their full company or contact information. The customer profile can still be used immediately in estimates, invoices, and site assignments.

Email Address (optional)

Contact email.

Representative (optional)

Main contact person.

Contact Number (optional)

Customer’s phone number.

Registration Number (optional)

Company registration or business ID.

VAT Number (optional)

For tax-registered customers.

Exclude VAT on Estimates and Invoices (toggle)

Activate this if VAT should not be applied to the customer’s documents.

Alternate View of Filled Form (shortened state)

This shows a slight edit where:

  • Suburb now shows New York.

  • State/City shortened to NY. This demonstrates flexibility in address formatting — ideal for different regional data entry conventions.

When all required and optional details are entered, click Create Customer (bottom-right).
