Provide a controlled, permission-based way to update scaffold records (dates, dimensions, location, attachments, and boards) after they have been created.
Sites → Select Site → Scaffolds Tab → Select Scaffold → Settings (⚙️) → Edit Scaffold
Go to Sites and select the site you want to work on.
On the site page, open the SCAFFOLDS tab.
In the relevant lifecycle accordion (for example Pending Scaffolds ), click the scaffold Code to open the scaffold record.
On the scaffold record, click the Settings (⚙️) icon in the top-right to open the edit screen.
Make changes and click UPDATE in the bottom-right to save.
Step-by-Step Workflow
Once the Edit Scaffold form is open, you can update the following sections.
Scaffold Details
Update Erection Date (Required)
Select the correct date from the date picker
This field must remain completed to save
Update Dismantle Date (Required)
Select the planned dismantle date
This field must remain completed to save
Use Hire (Optional)
Toggle Use Hire ON if you want hire values to apply to this scaffold
Update hire-related values as needed (if enabled)
Using Use Hire is optional. If you do not wish to track hire costs, leave it OFF and no hire calculations will apply.
Update Description (Optional)
Update the scaffold description (example: “Main building”)
Update Location (Optional)
Update the physical location on site (example: “North elevation”)
Update Scaffold Type
Open the Scaffold Type dropdown
Select the correct scaffold type
Update Dimensions (Required)
Update any scaffold measurements as needed:
The system supports metres (m) and feet (ft) and will automatically handle the conversion based on your account settings.
Weight (Optional)
Enter or update Weight (kg) if you track scaffold weight for reporting
Attachments (Optional)
Attachments are used to represent additional connected scaffold structures (example: cantilevers).
Edit an existing attachment
Update the attachment fields (description, location, type, dimensions, level, weight)
Use Delete to remove an attachment if it should no longer be linked
Add a new attachment
Click the green + button in the Attachments section
Complete the attachment fields
The Level field on an attachment represents the height of the attachment above ground level or from the base of the structure.
The Boards Details section records boards/platforms/working levels installed on the scaffold.
Edit an existing board item
Update any of the board fields (description, length, width, level, qty)
Add another board item
Click the green + button to add another board level
Delete a board item
Click Delete to remove a board item if it was added in error
Click UPDATE in the bottom-right to save the scaffold
What Happens Next
After clicking UPDATE :
The scaffold record is updated immediately
The scaffold overview and related lists (scaffold register/logs) reflect the latest values
Any changes to dates, dimensions, attachments, or boards will be used in reporting going forward
